Learn how to create your own eye-catching photographs of the city’s built environment in this hands-on architecture workshop. It will give you the essential conceptual and technical tools that will enable you to develop your practice, whether for a hobby or for business. During the workshop we will touch topics from camera position and image framing to exposure control and lighting, a wide array of photographic techniques, as used by architectural photographers.
You will learn:
Lenses – the effective use of different lenses.
Tones - A discussion about light, colour, black and white and grey tones.
Camera settings – learn how to change and work with your camera settings for night photography.
Techniques - learn special techniques for architectural photography.
Subjects and composition - what makes a good architectural photograph? How to decide whether to use colour or monochrome?
Equipment - learn which equipment is necessary for creating architectural photographs
Post-processing - learn image post-production tools used in architectural photography.
Good knowledge of how to use your camera and a basic knowledge of shutter speed, aperture, camera lenses and ISO. If you feel that you might need more knowledge we highly advice you to take our Beginners Photography course first.
Your Camera: DSLR or Mirrorless (If you don’t have a camera yet, don’t worry! You can hire one of our DSLR cameras free of charge. Please notify us in advance so we can make sure we have one available for you).
