If you love the outdoors and photography, then you are in the right place.  

In this course, you will learn the key ingredients of creating amazing landscape photographs. You will learn about the gear best suited for landscape photography, how to obtain a perfect exposure, composition, and light. You also will learn the planning workflow and travelling routine.

The goal of this course is to empower you to plan your own adventure, whether it will be in the Swiss Alps or in the other side of the world, and to improve your knowledge and skills to be able to take beautiful photographs while you are there.

You will learn:
 

  • Planning - use of modern technologies/apps to scout locations, plan your visit and timing. Understand what to pack for your next landscape photo adventure.

  • Light - understand what great light is and the best light for different subjects.

  • Composition - learn how to craft strong photographic compositions. You will gain the ability to find subjects and scenes worthy of photographing.

  • Camera settings - learn the best settings and commands for landscape photography.

  • Landscape photography techniques - HDR and Panorama creation techniques.

  • Advanced Focus - learn Focus Stacking techniques for landscape photography depending on the lens use and desired outcome.

  • Advanced Exposure - learn exposure bracketing for HDR technique, exposure compensation, and the exposure triangle dynamics.

  • Lenses - understand the impact of lens selection on composition.

  • Filters - understanding the effects and appropriate use of different filters for different types of photography. Use of polarizing filter to make your landscape photography even better.

  • Accessories - understanding of accessories use to enhance your landscape photographs.

  • Camera and Equipment Care - how to care and protect your camera on the go and under different weather conditions. How to clean the built-in sensor of out camera.

  • Advice - how to take better photos and avoiding problems like a pro.

  • Common Mistakes - how to improve your photography instantly avoiding the most common mistakes.

  • Equipment Advise - how to choose the right camera, lenses and accessories for landscape photography.

  • Post-processing - learn valuable Lightroom and Photoshop techniques to maximize your creative vision.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of how to use your camera and a basic knowledge of shutter speed, aperture, camera lenses and ISO. If you feel that you might need more knowledge we highly advice you to take our Beginners Photography course first.

  • Your Camera: DSLR or Mirrorless (If you don’t have a camera yet, don’t worry! You can hire one of our DSLR cameras free of charge. Please notify us in advance so we can make sure we have one available for you).

  • Different lenses if you have.

  • Notebook/tablet for notes taking.

  • Passion, creativity and love for Photography!
